Generated passwords

Passwords and passphrases are generated in your browser. The generator is designed not to upload, log, or store generated passwords on our servers. Copying a password uses your device clipboard, which may be accessible to other applications or clipboard-history features.

Preferences on your device

If you enable remembered settings, generator preferences such as length, selected options, and custom patterns are stored in your browser’s local storage. Fixed text that you enter into a custom pattern may be part of those saved settings, so do not enter an existing secret as fixed text. You can disable remembered settings or clear this website’s storage in your browser.

Hosting and technical data

Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical information needed to serve the website, such as IP addresses, request metadata, and security logs. We do not currently provide user accounts or a server-side password vault.

Advertising and analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic and page views. Analytics may process visit information such as page URLs, referrers, browser or device characteristics, and approximate location. We do not intentionally send generated passwords, sample strength-checker inputs, or custom pattern text as analytics events. We have added a Google AdSense account-verification meta tag, but we have not installed the AdSense advertising script or enabled ads. If advertising is enabled later, we will review and update this policy and any applicable consent controls first.
